Start with the official app, your account settings and one chosen experience. This makes it easier to distinguish Roblox itself from individual games on the platform. This guide covers getting set up, not Robux offers or a ranking of experiences.
1. Launch the official Player
On a computer, open roblox.com, sign in, choose an experience page and select Play. The official instructions cover installing Roblox Player and approving the launch in your browser. Roblox Studio is for creating projects; ordinary play needs Player.
Check that the address really belongs to Roblox before installing. Do not begin with a file posted in a video comment. After the first launch, keep the experience name and its page so you can return without accidentally finding a similarly named copy.

2. Choose one experience and read its page
On mobile, search the app by title or keyword. Open the experience page, read its description and then play. The platform’s name does not tell you the rules of an individual experience: objectives and controls can differ considerably.
Choose one small first goal: finish the tutorial, learn movement or complete a round. When playing with friends, share the exact link beforehand. This avoids confusion between similar names and helps everyone discuss the same project.
3. Prepare account recovery
Use a unique password and your own verified email. Roblox warns against sharing passwords, browser cookies and sign-in codes. A collaboration, reward or Robux offer does not require those details. Sign out when finished on a shared computer.
Check that you can access the email address now. A password saved in one browser is not a recovery plan. For a child’s account, review settings and recovery contacts with the adult responsible for the account.

4. Enable two-step verification
Open Security in account settings and choose an available two-step verification method. The official instructions require a verified email and explain backup recovery options. Store recovery codes safely and do not send them through chat.
Approve only a sign-in you initiated. If a request appears unexpectedly, do not accept it just to see what happens. Use current Roblox help for exact screens and available methods, since settings can change.

5. When the game will not open
Begin by restarting the device and trying one chosen experience again. Official desktop help covers installation problems, temporary files, connection blocks and reinstallation. Try one step at a time so you know which action changes the result.
Record the exact error, device, operating system and the stage where it appears. That helps support more than “nothing works.” Avoid starting with random scripts or deleting entire folders; find instructions for your particular error and platform first.
